Egg Toast

This classic, also known as eggs-in-a-basket or eggs-in-a-hole, is perfect weekend at home with the family food. Something easy and delicious that you don’t sacrifice time with your family to make.

You simply butter your bread on both sides. Then take a round cookie cutter or glass (I used the top to my cooking spray.) and cut out a hole for your egg. Place your bread in the pan and toast for about 2 minutes. Flip your bread and crack an egg right into the hole. Cover and let cook for another 2-3 minutes or until the egg is set to your liking. Eat and Enjoy!

    Anna first found this recipe in her Nancy Drew Cookbook. It was called “Hollow Oak Nest Eggs” there. And it’s supremely tasty using homemade bread.
